The UAE automobile market is one the largest in the region boasting all types of cars. The UAE’s strategic positioning has led the country to become a regional hub for car parts and vehicle components major re-export center for the Middle East and GCC.
Considering ESMA’s initiative to protect its customers, motor vehicles spare parts have been regulated to ensure that they meet the minimum safety performance requirements. The initiative was done to ensure that only authentic high-quality spare parts that are suitable and in line with UAE’s weather, nature and infrastructures can access the UAE market.
The relevant regulation is UAE Cabinet Resolution Decision No. 12 of 2018 on UAE Vehicle Control System.
