G-Mark confirms the compliance of industrial products with the GCC technical regulations. It's not a quality mark, but rather a marking that signifies the conformity of products at least to the essential requirements of health, safety, and environment.
Whereas GCC Charter aims at facilitating coordination, achieving integration and building relationships between the Member Countries in all fields in order to unify them.
In line with the objectives of GCC Unified Economic Agreement which seeks to coordinate and unify the GCC economic, financial and monetary policies, as well as the GCC applicable commercial, industrial and custom legislation.

have agreed to establish an organization in the GCC region under the name of “GCC Standardization Organization (GSO)”, headquartered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
Equipment in Scope
All electrical and electronic devices and appliances and fixtures that contain electrical and/or electronic components designed for use with a voltage rating of:
- between 50 and 1000 V for alternating current (AC) and
- between 75 and 1500 V for direct current (DC)
- Domestic Electrical Fans
- Refrigerators, freezers and other refrigerating or freezing equipment
- Centrifugal clothes dryers and Clothes washing machines, including machines which both wash and dry
- Food grinders and mixers, fruit or vegetable, juice extractors.
- Toasters
- Electro-thermic hair-dressing apparatus and hand dryers
- Domestic electric heating apparatus
- Microwave ovens
- Other ovens; cookers, cooking plates, boiling rings, grillers and roasters
- Electric instantaneous or storage water heaters and immersion heaters
- Electric smoothing irons
- Plugs, Socket outlets, Adaptors, Cord Extension Sets and chargers
- Air conditioners
Certification Requirements
- Valid Industry/Trade License
- Written declaration that he did apply to any other notified body.
- A detailed description with conceptual design and Manufacturing drawings
- List of components, materials, sub-assemblies and circuits used in the electrical equipment
- Test Reports from accredited testing laboratories and as per GSO Technical Regulation BD-142004-01 and relevant product standards.
- Declaration of Conformity by the Applicant on the Product(s) for Registration using the Applicant’s Official Letterhead
- Location Map of the company and its warehouse where the product is stored.
- Exclusive Distributorship authorization from the manufacture or owner of the product.
- Set of Samples of product for registration if requested.

Service Procedure Steps
- Receipt of Technical Documents for Application Review
- Payment of GCTS certificate Fees. (Government + CB)
- TÜV Middle East W.L.L facilitates the Product Conformity Assessment Process and liaises with the exporter/manufacturer for submission of all substantiating documents.
- Evaluate Technical Documents submitted against the relevant standards and technical regulation
- Product GCTS and final GSO Certificate will be issued which is valid for three years upon issuance
