The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT ) would like to express our appreciation to all manufacturers and suppliers of air-conditioners.
In response to the industry’s request and in consideration of the current conditions faced by all industries due to COVID-19 pandemic, the enforcement of the UAE.S 5010-1:2019 and UAE.S 5010-5:2019 will be postponed giving an additional 180 days of grace period from its scheduled enforcement on July 13, 2020. Furthermore, the requirements and specifications set by UAE.S 5010- 1:2016 and UAE.S-5010-5:2016 will remain in effect until the completion of the said grace period which will end by January 9, 2021.
Nevertheless, manufacturers and traders who wish to comply and secure certification based on the 2019 version of the regulation should approach their respective notified bodies to complete the necessary certification process. Notified bodies can proceed with the certification without undue delay if the client would like to get certification based on the 2019 version.
